Emotional Freedom Technique

EFT is a gentle, non-invasive therapy that works by literally tapping on meridian points on the body whilst talking about the issue at hand, releasing negative emotions and helping to reframe the issue for the client.  

The tapping sends signals to the amygdala in the brain that you are safe, reducing cortisol in the body and moving the body out of the stress response of fight/flight/freeze and into a calm 'rest and digest state' where the issue at hand can be reframed in a secure and calm environment. 

It can be used for all manner of issues, from combatting stress and overwhelm, to  working through grief and sadness, to overcoming a range of anxieties such as public speaking, flying or exams.

Reiki

Reiki is a Japanese word which comes from the words “rei,” meaning universal, and “ki,” meaning life energy. 

The goal is to balance the energy within the body, promoting relaxation, stress reduction, and facilitating the body's natural healing processes. When we are in a rest state, we are able to heal and rebalance. physically and emotionally.

 

It is often practiced in person with a 'hands on' of 'hands off' technique. I can offer in-person or distance Reiki, as a standalone service or combined with EFT.

EFT & Reiki 'combo'

Why not combine the two for a deep relaxation and reconnection? The 'combo' starts with 60 minutes of EFT followed by 30 minutes of Reiki, or can be adapted to suit your preferences.
